Worm City

Materials:
glass jar
black construction paper
tape 
worms
dirt
sand
leaves
mesh

Directions:

1)Layer dirt and sand in glass jar to within 3-4 centimeters of the top.

2)Place worms on top of layers.

3)Place leaves in the jar.

4)Cover top of the jar with mesh and secure it to the jar.

5)Wrap black construction paper around the jar and tape in place.

6)Check jar in 2-3 days to see what's happened. 

7)Watch for a few more days.
8)Turn the worms loose.
