You need a large tortilla, a sheet of paper, and crayons.

Tortilla Folding

1. Take your tortilla and fold it in half. On your sheet of paper draw your tortilla with two 1/2. Label your tortilla with 1/2 and 1/2. Color each side a different color.

2. Now fold your tortilla again so you have fourths. On your sheet of paper draw your tortilla with four 1/4. Label your tortilla with 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, and 1/4. Color each side a different color.

Questions
Now ask as many questions as you can such as:

*What do two 1/4 equal? Draw a picture.
*What do three 1/4 equal? Draw a picture.
*What do two 1/2 equal? Draw a picture.
*What do four 1/4 equal? Draw a picture.
* If you folded your tortilla one more time what would the fractions be? Draw a picture.
*What does a 1/2 and a 1/4 equal? Draw a picture. *What does a 1/2 and two 1/4 equal? Draw a picture. * Come up with your own tortilla fraction questions.
